2. Website access and server data
When this website is accessed, technically necessary connection data is processed to deliver pages and files to your device. This may include the IP address, time, requested address, amount of data transferred, status code, referring page and browser or operating-system information.
Processing supports secure and reliable delivery, IT security and prevention of misuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR together with the Norwegian Personal Data Act. Hosting and security providers may retain technically necessary logs and delete them when no longer required.
3. Contacting us
When you submit the contact form, your name, company if supplied, email address, product reference if supplied and message are sent over an encrypted connection to our web server and through our email provider to info@thejunction.eu. The data is not used for newsletters.
Quotations, contracts and pre-contractual enquiries are processed under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Other business enquiries are processed under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Data is deleted when no longer required unless statutory retention duties apply.
4. Cookies and local storage
This website does not set analytics, tracking or marketing cookies and does not use advertising, audience measurement or profiling services.
Local Storage is used only for acknowledgement of the privacy notice, voluntary display and accessibility preferences, and identifiers of unlocked catalogs. Your email address is not stored in the browser. Entries remain until you reset the preferences or clear the website data.
5. Catalogs and external content
Fonts, product images, logos, scripts and catalog files are served locally. Catalogs are processed in the browser and are not transferred to an external PDF service.
To unlock a complete catalog, your business email address, the selected catalog and the time are sent to The Junction. This enables access and associates concrete B2B product interest. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. This is not a newsletter subscription. The notification is generally deleted within twelve months unless a business relationship or statutory duty requires longer retention.
External manufacturer sites are contacted only after you open the relevant link. The external provider's privacy terms apply from that point.
6. Recipients and transfers
Recipients may include hosting, email and IT providers and public authorities acting under legal powers. Personal data is disclosed only when necessary for the purposes described, required by law or covered by your consent.
7. Your rights
Subject to the GDPR, you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. To exercise your rights, contact info@thejunction.eu.
You may also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet: datatilsynet.no ↗.
8. Security and update
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. The publicly deployed website is delivered over encrypted HTTPS connections.
